Owen had PT this morning which went well.  Then, we took Owen to the Barnes &amp; Noble where he walked out with a brand new Thomas the Train magnet book! To be totally honest with you, I loathe Thomas.

I was beginning to think that he was falling apart at the seams!  
Our new doc is awsome!  Our old ped retired so we had to find yet another doctor but we got very lucky.  He loves Owen and is willing to learn about his condition.

I can tell that more frequently, people notice his size.  Other parents of little people - you know what I'm talking about.  There is a certain way that people look at him, point him out and whisper to their partners ("Look at that little guy!") that signifies curiosity as to why he is so small.

Owen has suffered his first ear infection.  The infection has only effected the left ear and leaving the right ear to do all the work.  
For those who may be unaware, the fact that he has made it to almost 2 years old without being afflicted with any sort of ear troubles is pretty phenomenal.

Owen was lucky enough to have spent time with his great grandma on several occasions, most recently last weekend. She was one of the sweetest most loving women I knew and I feel privleged to have been part of her family. We all love her and will miss her very much.

My immediate response was 'Of course not!'...OK...it was acutally 'Hell, no!'.  But as I mulled it over in my head, the issue started to become a little more complicated.

In my thank you cards, I expressed my gratitude for providing Owen with a means to life long support and friendship.  At the time, my word were only theoretical. Detroit's only an hour from us which usually is nothing to brag about unless there is a major national conference in town.  
I'm so excited to finally meet some of the people I have been corresponding with over the year.  We leave tomorrow and are staying through until Monday. Like the rest of the week, Owen's 2nd Easter was pretty uneventful (with the exeption of the fabulous meal , thanks mom!). The only thing that I can really note is that Owen starts with a new daycare tomorrow.  We had to find new arrangements after our provider moved out of town.  We were very bummed. I am happy to report he is feeling much better. He's still not 100% on the Owen Personality Meter (more like 74 to 76%) but he's closer to get back to his old self.

The nebulizer treatments definitely helped and we were able to keep him out of the hospital. Hallelujah! He is one sick little boy. He developed a cough on Friday and got progressively worse through the weekend. By Sunday, he was lethargic and miserable. The scary thing for us is that he was not interested in eating at all which was very alarming to us.  My biggest concern was the dehydration. I couldn't have asked for a better 1st birthday party for Owen!  Thank you everyone for all of the wonderful gifts.  Owen received enough contributions to his LPA membership so that he can buy a lifetime membership!  I feel so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. 10:00 am - Dan and I were getting ready to go to the doctor's office for an ultrasound. We were so excited. I was in my 38th week and couldn't wait to see how Owen was doing.
