I'm very sad to say that it doesn't look like we are going to be able to pull off the New York LPA Convention this summer.
I'm really disappointed but it's a decision Dan and I made together. We would like to either move from our house or refinish our basement both of which would leave very little in the way of vacation funds.
We did vow to go to 2010's conference (Tennessee?) and we will probably be going to Grand Rapids for the Spring Regional in April (pending the Pistons playoff schedule). We figured if we had to opt out of one, it might as well be this year, when Owen really doesn't know what is going on.
I'm so bummed I won't get to meet Kim or Katie or see Mike and Cherylle again. I wish you could all see me right now. I have a really big sad face :(. Boo!

Maybe Kim and Katie and Mike and Cherylle and everybody else for that matter can come to Michigan and stay with us. I wish we were millionaires and we'd send you guys! And..if I was a millionaire I'd go too
I'm sad face too Cat! I'm not going to NY this year...boo!! I would big puffy heart LOVE to come visit ya'll in Michigan. I should convince Brooks we need to go visit his Bff up there :) Hopefully Tennessee will be our year..
Booooo!!! I totally understand why, though, but we'll miss you guys this summer! Crossing our fingers and knocking on wood that this economy doesn't do anything new to us between now and the summer of 2010, at least we'll see you guys in Nashville, though...
And 2011 is Anaheim, CA, so you should all be saving up to come out here!! :-)
We might not make it there either. But we will be in Nashville, that's for sure. Hopefully we will get to see you before then!
I'm sad, too....We can't make the Nationals in NYC, either. But...we ARE going to the Spring REgionals in Grand Rapids, so let's plan on meeting!! And, we are planning on going to Nationals next year when it'll be held in Nashville.
Another sad face here. We aren't going either as much as we would LOVE to go. We sure home to get to Nashville next year. For sure 2011 as that is Anaheim...I can't possibly miss one that is in my state.
Oh no!!!! Well, you're right better to be this year when he doesn't know what he's missing! I completely understand the funds issue! Ian and I are still trying to figure out how to swing it this year! There will be many more oppourtunities for us to meet though! Sad face here.

Another sad face here too - we won't be making the trip to NYC either. We do plan on going to Nashville next year though, so we will be looking forward to meeting everyone then - can't wait to meet cutie Owen in person! We are definitely not going to NYC, but I'm undecided about the spring regional - although it seems like everyone is going! Its just that Grand Rapids is like an 8 hour drive - one way.
awww, I'm so sad. I'll miss "my Owen" in the kids room but I'm sure I'll see you guys at some other parties coming up soon! Are you going to the Valentines party this year?
As fun as it would be, I was telling TOnya I think NYC was the dumbest place to have the conference. Not because NYC is not the greatest, but it is ridiculously expensive and in this economy how can anyone afford it. (After all I am staying at my parents' apartment there to avoid the hotel). I will miss all of you guys!
